Reliable Bandwidth For Office Buildings

Chris Bradley Fiber and VOIP Phone Systems, Fiber-optics 101, Fiber-optics Project Management Team

Building owners and managers who provide reliable bandwidth for office buildings via cutting-edge fiber-optic infrastructure are positioning themselves for long-term success with their tenants. How important is internet this day in age for a company’s employees to be able to send and receive emails and complete daily tasks with a click of a button. Unfortunately, spotty connectivity and mediocre technology infrastructure are specific problems that put productivity at risk for companies across the United States.

Specifically, technology startups, financial firms and medical practices, are primary companies who rely strongly on connectivity. This connectivity will continue to grow with the advancement of applications that are involved with daily operations. Commercial buildings who have had fiber-optics built into them will attract and retain additional tenants because it is becoming a top propriety for most companies when searching for a building.

The multitude of high-speed Internet service options available to tenants, resilience of infrastructure that prevents service outages and readiness to support new tenants and Internet service providers (ISPs) all dictate how well-connected a building is. The future depends on connectivity, and buildings, brokers and landlords that don’t prioritize these tech-forward capabilities will be left behind.

Information in regard to a buildings infrastructure is historically hard to come by due to the landlord or building owner not taking notice to how important fiber-optics is becoming within a building. We here at LightmyFiber can validate within seconds who the fiber carriers are within a building and on the street. We utilize a Fiberlocator software to locate fiber carriers within the building and on the street. All we need is an address provided and within seconds we can provide the information we have researched.

We go above and beyond to also put out an RFP on behalf of the client to request pricing from the carriers based upon what they need for bandwidth. Services requested ranges from Point to Point, Direct Internet Access and lastly Dark Fiber. Contract negotiations is where we have the carriers compete against each other for the least expensive pricing for fiber. We provide this as a free offering to our clients. In addition, we have a white glove project management team who oversees the installation of the fiber-optics into the building for a small fee if needed.
